Volunteers construct Haven Horse Ranch pathway

Students in Free Enterprise members from Flagler College reported to Historic City News that they build a brick pathway, together with volunteers from Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation and the St Johns Juvenile Correctional Facility, to help handicapped riders at the Haven Horse Ranch in St Augustine.

Historic City News reporters learned that a controversial statewide septic tank mandate, passed by the Florida Legislature in 2010, was eliminated when Governor Rick Scott signed HB-1263 into law Friday; over objections from the Sierra Club, who requested a veto.
