Toddler Festival next week for kids 1 – 5
Early Literacy Coordinator Joan Whitson, for the Early Learning Coalition of Putnam and St Johns, announced to Historic City News that next weekend, families with kids ages 1-5 can enjoy magic, music, storytelling, puppets, crafts, and other activities during the Toddler Festival in St Augustine.

Two candidates have qualified for the office of State Attorney for the 7th Judicial Circuit which includes St Augustine and St Johns County, Putnam, Flagler and Volusia counties; and, they will face each other as opponents for the first time in a candidate forum on Monday May 14.
St Johns County Sheriff’s Sergeant Charles E. Mulligan reported to Historic City News that a 21 year-old St Augustine woman was killed last night when she was partially ejected and pinned under her vehicle in a single-car crash on Green Acres Road.
Many Historic City News readers will recall that the City of St Augustine built the Willie Galimore Center as a multi-purpose facility in 1984, adjacent to Eddie Vickers Park at the south end of Riberia Street; but after the pool was closed, many residents began spending less time there.
Martha Graham, P.E., Director of Public Works for the City of St Augustine, reported to Historic City News that the seawall contractor has determined that part of the mitigation portion of the rehabilitation project must be performed during high tide tomorrow night; Sunday, May 6.
Coalition Coordinator LeAnn Daddario, informed local Historic City News reporters that Katelyn Manis has been appointed to serve the non-profit organization PACT Prevention Coalition of St Johns County as marketing and development assistant.
