Cattlemen say no to EPA – file lawsuit
Historic City News reporters learned that the Florida Cattlemen’s Association joined the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association in filing a lawsuit yesterday, April 28, 2011, challenging the Environmental Protection Agency’s determination letter and final rule establishing “numeric nutrient criteria” for Florida’s lakes, rivers, streams and springs.

Remodeling at Ponte Vedra Beach tax office
“We will be temporarily closing the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch of the Tax Collector’s Office located at 5430 Palm Valley Road, for remodeling designed to better serve our taxpayers,” St Johns County Tax Collector Dennis W. Hollingsworth, C.F.C., told Historic City News.

Purse-snatching duo targeted older women
Palm Coast police dispatchers received four separate reports from older women who were attacked and had their purses snatched while shopping in a busy section of stores all near the Cypress Point Shopping area.
