The City of St Augustine has announced to Historic City News the names of streets that made its list of hopeful candidates for repaving, including those that require utility work.

The Mid-term General Election is today. Early voting ended on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. Today you must vote at your assigned precinct. Election Day – polls are open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Old Town Trolley reported to Historic City News that for the sixth year, guests can vote for their favorite holiday lighting display in the annual Light Up Night! contest. Its all part of the Nights of Lights 25-year milestone celebration in St Augustine. Nights of Lights has been voted one of the Top 10 “Best Holiday Lighting Displays in the World” by National Geographic.
St Johns County hosted the inaugural Adoption Day Ceremony yesterday morning at the County Courthouse. Eight foster children have permanent homes after they finalized their adoptions with six local families in a ceremony Friday to celebrate National Adoption Awareness Month.

Deputies with the St Johns County Sheriff’s Office arrested and booked 45-year-old Sean Allen Mulligan at the county jail just before 8:00 a.m. on Friday morning. The defendant has a lengthy arrest history in St Johns County dating back to 1992.
Historic City News was notified by Florida Department of Transportation Public Information Officer, Monica Reifeiss, that traffic will be impacted at the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations where roadwork is being conducted.
