Historic City News learned today that Governor Charlie Crist has appointed seven members to the Florida Legislative Committee on Intergovernmental Relations — including St. Johns County Commissioner Cynthia W. Stevenson.

15th season of Nights of Lights a big success

The 15th season of the Nights of Lights, St. Augustine’s winter celebration of light, concludes on Saturday, January 31st. By all accounts it was a successful season according to an announcement received by Historic City News this afternoon.

Kevin Kelshaw reported to Historic City News this morning that four people were arrested at a Ponte Vedra Beach home following the execution of a search warrant Thursday afternoon.

The 28th annual Matanzas 5000 & Fun Run on Saturday, January 24 will necessitate the closing of some streets and traffic disruptions according to information received by Historic City News this afternoon from Cathy DuPont in the City Office of Public Affairs.

Girl attacked at Royal St. Augustine

A 10-year old St. Johns County girl reported an assault that occurred Wednesday afternoon near her residence in the 2000 block of W. Lymington Way in Royal St. Augustine according to an alert received by Historic City News this morning.
