Throughout the session, Historic City News has followed an ongoing issue critical to St Johns County regarding the continuation of Visit Florida. The state’s tourism marketing agency, which was set to shut down next year, is still recovering from a scandal that occurred several years ago.

During the St Augustine City Commission meeting last night, Monday, February 28th, Historic City News subscribers watched as the commission proclaimed March 2022, to be Minorcan History and Culture Month in St Augustine.
Leslie H. Smith, Spokesperson for the Department of Lawyer Regulation of The Florida Bar informed local Historic City News reporters that the Florida Supreme Court has recently disciplined 11 attorneys, suspending five, reprimanding two, and revoking the licenses of four. One attorney was placed on probation.
