Historic City News thanks St Augustine North Davis Shores neighborhood council president, Susan Rathbone, for bringing to our attention that a woman jogging on Avista Circle last night was attacked by an unknown assailant. City police have not identified the person responsible.
St Johns County Media Relations Officer Kevin Kelshaw reported to Historic City News that a man and woman were arrested early yesterday morning following a two county high-speed automobile pursuit.
A 52-year-old white female who resides on Poinciana Avenue in St Augustine was threatened with a loaded shotgun pointed under her chin by her landlord at about 7:00 p.m. last night, after she questioned him about prescription medication missing from her home.
“Give government an inch and they will surely take a mile,” one observer told Historic City News after the St Augustine City Commission approved a revised taxicab ordinance presented by Assistant City Attorney Denise May.
