Georgia woman arrested at Amphitheater




Historic City News was informed by St Johns County Sheriff’s spokesman, Commander Charles E. Mulligan, that Major Crimes Unit detectives are investigating an early morning robbery that occurred soon after 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning.
City of St. Augustine Public Works Department has deployed a team to assist with disaster recovery efforts in Tallahassee Thursday where the city suffered extensive damage from Hurricane Hermine.
There will be an additional recycling pickup on Saturday, September 3, for Historic City News readers in the City of St Augustine, according to Public Works Director, Martha Graham.
St. Johns County School District has cancelled school for Friday, September 2, 2016.
Tropical Storm Hermine is located about 220 miles west of Tampa and the St Johns County Emergency Management Office has informed local Historic City News reporters that the storm is moving north-northeast at 14 mph with maximum sustained winds of 65 mph. A slight increase in forward speed is expected during the next day or so.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency has informed local Historic City News reporters that they have cancelled the floodplain map Open House scheduled for 4:00 p.m. this evening at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall.
