In 2003, Historic City News reported that the city felt it was losing control of the ambiance of the city’s entrance ways, specifically along King Street, San Marco Avenue and Anastasia Boulevard, so design standards were instituted for those important thoroughfares — not with the same rules as the historic districts, but with rules that were reflective of the history and desired ambiance of those streets.
For the second morning in a row, law enforcement and emergency medical personnel have responded to a bomb threat at Bartram Trail High School in northwest St Johns County, according to a report received by Historic City News.

The Florida Highway Patrol reported to Historic City News that at about 8:00 p.m. last night, 18-year-old Griffin Richard Moody of Ponte Vedra Beach lost his life in a two-car-crash that occurred on SR-16 at Murabella Parkway.
Historic City News was informed that, earlier this afternoon, Raven Malden, the 10-year-old Pensacola girl rescued from a near drowning shortly after midnight yesterday morning, has died.
