St Johns County candidate qualifying dates and fees

St Johns County Supervisor of Elections Vicky Oakes informed Historic City News reporters that the “candidate qualifying period” for those running in the fall elections begins at noon, June 10th, and continues through June 14th at noon. Qualifying papers began being accepted Tuesday, May 28th, according to Section 99.061(8) F.S.

The 2024 Atlantic Hurricane Season began on Saturday, June 1st, and won’t officially end until November 30th. This time of year contains the most storm activity and historically the most violent storms on the planet. Hurricane season typically comes to a peak around September 10th.
