A reminder to Historic City News readers that the St. Augustine Easter Parade has moved from Easter Sunday. The Easter parade is tomorrow, Saturday 4/20/19 beginning at 9:00 a.m. and is expected to last to approximately 11:30 a.m.
National Park Week starts tomorrow, Saturday April 20, which means Historic City News readers have free entry to Florida National Parks. That’s right, free entry to so much Florida history. We are fortunate to have two national monuments and part of a local cultural heritage corridor in St Augustine and St Johns County.

Historic City News readers interested in the proposed development of a 99-acre parcel within the Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve learned yesterday that the St Johns County Board of Commissioners, defendants in a civil suit filed by the Ponte Vedra Corporation, a subsidiary of GATE Petroleum Company, unanimously approved a settlement agreement with the property owners.
