Pursuant to Section 403.077, F.S., the Florida Department of Environmental Protection informed local Historic City News reporters that they have received the following Public Notice of Pollution for a reportable release that occurred within St Johns County.

St. Johns County Fire Rescue reported to Historic City News that on Thursday, February 20th at 3:02 p.m., emergency medical personnel and firefighters responded to a vehicle accident that occurred near the 2700 block of SR-16.

A new member of the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Explorers program, 16-year-old Kaitlyn Gennaro, was arrested this morning at her home in Palm Coast after an alert parent discovered text messages she sent to a classmate threatening to conduct a mass shooting — a felony under Florida Statute § 836.10.

Yesterday, Historic City News was informed of an attack on a Hastings woman’s life by two Rottweiler dogs who belong to a neighbor.  Inclement weather prohibited emergency medical personnel from evacuating the victim by air ambulance, forcing them to resort to ground transportation by St Johns Fire Rescue.

Today, United States Attorney Maria Chapa Lopez announced to Historic City News the return of an indictment against 49-year-old Samuel Arthur Thompson of St Augustine.  He is charged with receiving and possessing child sex-abuse images, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, failing to register under the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act, and…

Historic City News was notified yesterday that the bodies of two teenage boys were discovered in the bedroom of a home on Solano Cay Circle in Ponte Vedra Beach.  The report came into the sheriff’s call center informing local law enforcement of the discovery at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning, February 9, 2020.
