Communications and Events Coordinator Melinda Conlon reported to Historic City News that at the City Commission Meeting on Monday, January 4, 2021, the City of St. Augustine Beach elected its Mayor, Vice Mayor and installed two Commissioners.

Historic City News was informed that in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the following County offices will be closed on Monday, January 18, 2021. All offices will resume standard business hours on Tuesday, January 19th, according to County Director of Communications, Michael Ryan.

Publix Super Markets will offer COVID-19 vaccinations locally by appointment

Yesterday, the Executive Office of Governor Ron DeSantis announced to local Historic City News reporters that select Publix stores in St Johns County will begin offering appointments for COVID-19 vaccinations, continuing a rollout of vaccination efforts at other Publix locations across the state.

St Johns County receives 500 vaccine allotment from the State

Historic City News has confirmed that registration will resume at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 14, for 500 vaccination appointments on Friday January 15, 2021.  Earlier in the week, the County’s Director of Communications Michael Ryan had announced that no date was known concerning future distribution of the vaccine used for COVID-19 immunization.
