St Johns County receives 500 vaccine allotment from the State

Historic City News has confirmed that registration will resume at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 14, for 500 vaccination appointments on Friday January 15, 2021.  Earlier in the week, the County’s Director of Communications Michael Ryan had announced that no date was known concerning future distribution of the vaccine used for COVID-19 immunization.

Florida’s Historic Coast is open for business

Historic City News was informed by Barbara Golden, spokesman for the Visitors and Convention Bureau that Florida’s Historic Coast is “open for business” and there are some really cool things happening in 2021. Golden asks that while participating in events, please be safe and follow CDC guidelines. Wear a face mask, wash your hands frequently and practice 6′ safe distancing.

Hello, everyone.  I hope all the Historic City News family of subscribers had a wonderful Christmas holiday.  We rang out the old year and rang in the hope and opportunity that comes with the new.  Honestly, I think the old year will probably go down as one of the worst.  I am concerned now that unless things change, and change soon, we are doomed to repeat some of our ugliest history.
