Masonry work underway at fort

Started in St. Augustine by the Spanish in 1672, the Castillo de San Marcos is the oldest masonry fort in North America; and with the crowds of summer gone, its time for maintenance, according to a report from Historic City News contributor Jeffrey Edel.

Laurie Sanderson reported the following St. Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through September 30th.

Wilson dealership contribution recognized

According to an announcement received by Historic City News today, St. Johns County Sheriff David Shoar, along with Sergeant Ron Faircloth, presented a plaque to Brian Wilson recognizing the Jack Wilson dealership for their contribution to the Police Unity Tour.
